i have them both and they are two different animals... 80% of cantons ...outta the box will leak or cause fitment issues.... because im assuming of the jig that is being used to put them together.... these other obes are not welded together and there is no jig in the process..... sooooo they are just different.

If or when i step up to a bigger blower ill have my heads opened up. Right now the AFRs are going on with factory porting/chambers

Any special reason you didnt just drop it right out the bottom all together, and your dismantling it?

If at all possible I highly suggest backing the car in and lift the car off the k member. It will save you a ton of work and make your life much easier. You can assemble everything and I mean everything on the k member, exhaust, trans, harness. Everything that you are gonna bust a knuckle on and get pissed off at. You will know everything will be tight. I even attach the damn y pipe. What will take you days to do will be hours. Honestly I have done more than I can count and you can yank it and put it all back in in a good day. I don't know exactly what you have for room but man see if it is at all possible.

If i could i would deff drop the k-member, but as i said i lack room and i need my car to still be moveable. I have pulled these motors both ways and i can get one out the top almost as quick as i can drop a kmember.

After dropping the K and coming out the top i still prefer the top unless you have a lift, you can put in the top as a long block and even with the manifold on and then another couple hours she is ready to fire.

the LUNATI many be the one you ended up with....but i dont remember what your specs where i know they where slightly different then the CC he originally spec'd for me though.

well i got a call from LE today and my heads and intake are done, going to get them next weekend. ended up having to mill the heads .010 and they needed a valve job. glad i bought them "like new".... now it looks like ill have to run a thicker head gasket to counter it.... with the .040 cometic gaskets ill be at 10.1:1 CR

Well, i got some more work done tonight. Old short block is still in the car but i got a lot of the engine bay cleaned up. Working on pulling abs and ac. But some how a ac line got cracked and i had to clear out....

I've gotten to where I have to take two 10's to put me out. Its the only sleeping med I've taken that doesn't make me feel hungover in the morning. I took seroquil for about a week until I started waking up with the extra clips that sit next to the loaded 9mm on my nightstand in my hands.... scary stuff.

looks like you got a nice setup coming together. it should make more than enough grunt to run high 9's. when to get it running you will want to keep a eye on the duty cycle on those 60's. they might be a tad small.

Crank pulley size / blower pulley x 4.10(blower gear ratio) x engine redline RPM = impeller RPM

now if you have the stock blower crank pulley, and say 6200rpm

7.65/3.55x4.10x6200=54778rpm

7,000rpm from max

got the entire front suspension off the car this weekend, next is finally getting the A/C box out of the car....im starting to feel soo close, but still so far from being done... hopefully im going to be making a summit order soon to get the majority of my engine finished.

update;

new oil pump and pick up ordered and ordered comedic 4.110 bore, .051 thickness gaskets should put me about a 9.6:1 CR a little lower then i was aiming but it will work.

this weekend i should get the motor finished up to the intake.

rear seats will more then likely be gone, since once the cage goes in it will be hard as hell for someone to get back there and they look like hell!

its the ATI LT1 BB hub Fits the TPiS BB cover, and are you talking about modifying the S/C pulley? if so, never crossed my mind....

Make sure you have the right hub or cover with 2.25" seal. The hub listed on EFI connections website for use with the big block hub is 2.331" in diameter. The lt1 hub is 2.25. I accidentally bought the hub listed by EFI not realizing it isn't for a LT1. They didn't have the right seal at the time (they do now) so I had to have a custom lt1 hub machined to the 2.331 diameter lol.

Efi has there stuff correct now with the seal. It all works with "off the shelf parts"

And ill thinking about it ill probably do that to the pulley

small update!

QA1's getting sent in to get rebuilt buy the end of the week

talked to a Local shop, found out there an ATI dealer, ordering the Race BPV and having them weld the flange. also going to talk to them about making a Alum supercharger hat.

ordered my piping kit from CXRacing.

hoping to have all the cold side mocked up by next weekend and have the interior and rearend buttoned up. then all ill be waiting on are the parts to finish up the front end.

It should be done in time, but not sure if ill be able to make it to the shoot out. May be PCS'ing around that time.

I see a crank pulley bolt. Be forewarned, if that's the SBC listed bolt, you will have to use a second spacer on that bolt or you'll bottom it out in the crank and tear up threads. Ask me how I know.

Always nice to get new parts. Went with an ARP stud on mine because the threads in the Callie's DS crank started deep. I even bought a new GM crank bolt and when I tried to thread it in, I was like wtf. Cool story bro worthy.
