while this is not a TA, it is an interesting observation... this is a before video of a basically stock tune nothing but getting the trims away from +11 and closer to 0 but still fought 4* of KR on that tune till I found the issue.

then 3 weeks and dozens of tunes later at the same on ramp this is the same truck and similiar weather.

The only mods on the truck is headers bigger dual dumped exhaust and TB spacer and smoothed and blended TB removed restrictor and 4 in tubing and cone filter and egr and evap and bed cover.

The tune in it currently has changed the shift points from 25 mph to 40 mph in first and 65 to 80 in 2nd which the built trans seems much happier with. TQ management has been all but removed and ironically that is how the KR # have steadily came down and held down. I have added up to 10+ degrees of timing to the base map and see 40+ at cruise. The fueling is finally close and is usually +-2 or 3. figured even though it is not a regal it is a good case for indiviual tuning and what can be accomplished when enough time and energy can be put into a vehicle and its tune. if you have any questions i will admit I am no expert but slowly picking it up as I go and this is the only before and after I have that is really noticeable. mid range and part throttle are still not quite dialed in but they are getting closer and the seat of the pants dyno likes the improvement.

Sounds quite a bit healthier also, good job man.. Thats the only way you learn, either having a pro sit there and teach you everything or taking the plunge and learning yourself

this is the 4th vehicle i have tuned and the ex's regal i tuned dropped .5 in the quarter just by playing with the tune. i will say i did kill 1 motor by upping the ante on it but the manifold gasket failed so u could say it was cause and effect or crappy luck. but also on the ex's car it got up to 2 mpg to the gallon better also. this thing was pricey up front but has been worth it on the back end. if it is gm and 98 and newer there is a good chance i can tune it. i have tuned my truck, gto, and regals with it and love that

little update for those that may be curious I think I maxed out the tune possible for this setup... i put in a tune on tuesday that was a bit aggressive and the motor hated it so i backed it down just a touch and it is happy now. Running 40* of timing at cruise and have 23* of timing at WOT. She is also getting about an estimated 2-3 mpg better then before I havent had to fill yet so i cant say for sure but the amount of miles I have put on in the same amount of gas used according to the guage is up by at least 30. I used to fill at 200 miles but now i am at 230 and it is about time to fill (between 3/4 and Empty)
I am really excited and scared to see how this winter will mess with the tune as of right now it is between .8 and 1.6 rich where it started was over 11 lean when i started. I may have helped the mpg by adding the hard shell truck cover but I dont think it is that huge of a difference to account for the numbers i am seeing
