So with the completion of the car being tuned safely and the ability to mash the go pedal now, traction is a big issue. A good excuse for new wheels and tires I do believe. I have a couple of main choices, want some thoughts:
First, we have the Deep Dish C5 wheels. I've gravitated heavily towards these since they've been released. Two have made the cut:
In Gloss Black/Polished Lip
http://oewheels.net/oe-vette-c5-dd-b-rw-2ps.jpg
In Machined Face/Black
http://oewheels.net/oe-vette-c5-bmf-dd-18-2ps-n1.jpg
Now the two above are also CHEAP. LIke $550 a set cheap. Which is good because tires will NOT be (Nitto 305/35-18 are $300 each now). BUT.....they're not light, and having had the ZO6 machined face wheels on my Vette, the clearcoat WILL end up failing after about 2 years depending on how much it's driven (first set on the Vette was trashed at 1 year and I warrantied, 2nd set lasted almost two years before the clearcoat started pitting). The gloss black will hold up much better, but it's kind of cliche'd anymore though on the PPM I think it would look good.
Also on my short list are these, but they're double the price. The ROH Drift R (Call911 stole my idea for these way back, lol).

These are slick, about $650, but I'm not so keen on the fake bolts:

I am open to other options. I'd like to go 19" but finding a wide wheel (minimum 9" up front and minimum 10" out back) is difficult and a sticky 19" rear tire is even more difficult to find. Thoughts or opinions?

I was wondering what wheels were on your firehawk. Looks good. I personally think the y2k deep dish look good as a sp500 look alike and I personally like the c6 zo6 deep dish as a 505a look alike. But I'm a huge ccw fan just can't afford em. IMHO I would say the y2ks in black.
Edit - need 18s up front Larry lol

Right now I'm essentially sold on the DD C5's........not too keen on the black as I'm a HUGE fan of the machined face wheels. I just love how they look.
Honestly, what I REALLY want is a set of 19x9.5 HP Design EVO's that aren't made anymore. Those are SICK on F-Body's. I'd forgo the drag radials to rock a new set of those in hyperblack.

Thought about it.. but I rub the inners enough already.. I dig the stagger though.. its the "old school" in me...
But for 600 bucks how do you beat it!

Don't they still make the HP lightning which is the new name for the evo? Or did they discontinue it as well?
Here you go

You can't for the price although what drop do you have? My ws6 had 1.8 inch drop eibach sportlines and no rub with my 275/45s and just drop to a 275/40/18 lol

I like the first ones, if you get a picture of your from the side view and a picture of this rim from the sideview, I will Photoshop it onto your car.

Yeah, slap some 305/30-19's on there, would be plenty of tread width and look good from what I'm seeing.

Ha! I have my Telstars and 26x10.5x15 E.T. Streets for that. I want a good looking wheel, larger than 17", with as meaty a tire as I can muster.
I'm REALLY digging those MRR GT5's. I have YET to find an F-Body with them pictured. They're a little busy, but in a good way. If they didn't have the damn fake bolts they'd be perfect IMO. Only downside is the rear 19x9.5 with a 45mm offest I can only run about a 295 wide tire......that'll give me some tire overhang to the wheel and leave me 20 more mm of tread width over my 275 now. I think they'd look damn good. Only prob I see is that they're going to run about $1100 for the set. That's a few more weeks of shop earnings savings to go.

Of the ones posted, the C5s would be my choice. I'm not a big fan of rivets on wheels so the others posted don't do anything for me.
