There's some mysterious rattling coming from the bottom of my car. I thought it was a transmission, but it seems to "hollow" to be, and the tranny is working top notch, no slippage and nice and firm upshifts..

Couldn't really hear it in the video but it might be worth checking the torque converter bolts and motor mounts.

Ok I'll check that stuff out this weekend when I can.. I'm on forced overtime again at work right now.

I should mention, this only happens once it warms up. When cold I can't hear the sound.

No cats, so not sure how that could be rattling if it's not there. :P

There needs to be an "are you sure" question after you hit thanks. I fall asleep with the phone in my hand and click all kinds of crap...

Kinda sounds like it could be a loose baffle in the muffler maybe?
When the car is cold smack it with your hand and see if you hear the noise.

Ok I'll do that and see what happens. Thanks for that suggestion.

Do you still have the pipe the smog pump installed? Is the pipe that joins the passenger side to the drivers side still on the car? Sometimes that can make a odd rattle. No sound on this computer, Ill take a listen when I get home.

No I removed all that stuff..

I got another clip of it that might sound better, but the video is black cause it was at night under the car when I parked. I'll upload it when I get a chance.

I think it might be the exhaust pipe itself, I don't think I should be able to shake it, lol.

You can kinda hear it near the end.. It doesn't sound as clear as I hear it in person, not sure why.
