Donations Mod for vB

I liked the personal shout outs users are receiving for donating to LTxTech. I think you can streamline something like this better (AKA less busy work creating posts, etc. TIME = MONEY) with a vB donations mod. That way, when a donating member posts on the forum, you will see that they have donated via a logo somewhere around their avatar.

If LTXTECH and LTX Shootout want to be acknowledged as two separate donations, then I assume you can have two different add-ons.

It can run as memberships as well, like Gold, Silver, Platinum, etc. Just something to think about while moving forward.

I keep think about this and we are discussing a title or some other privileges to give those that donate, but I dont know that I want to stop the THANK YOU threads, even if they take extra time.... Honestly that money that people so kindly donate took time from them to earn as well.... I think the least I can do as a representative to the site is personally thank ONE by ONE.....

I agree its more of personal touch type thing, and he has lots of TIME! Lol He dedicates all of his free time to this site :)

I'm fine with the personal thanks post. Now that the forums are streamlined there should be plenty of room and bandwidth. The VIP title bar is cool but I personally really don't need tons of recognition for donating. If Larry has the time and wants to do the personal post then let it be. If ppl can't donate money now due to other obligations don't feel bad. I thank all of the members here no matter if they donate or not. If it wasn't for the members we woudnt have a site at all.

I think if you have the time do both. The initial person touch is awesome and the tag by their username is more of a long term reminder that that person is extra "special" lol
