So is there a manufacturer that sells a lipstick tube that lots with longtubes or do I need to buy another factory 1 and just bend it to fit??? Jacked mite up when installing my headers it works but doesn't make me feel too secure and can't properly check my oil.
So if there is somewhere I can find either a new factory one or if someone makes one that fits with header please point me in the right direction. Thanks ahead of time.

x2 I don't see why your stocker can't fit. I have buddies that run there stocker with longtubes (one had pacesetters, other has stainless of ebay). Do you just an aftermarket one for looks?

It its not that it didn't fit just has to be bent some. The one that's on the car kinked so that it would slide back in the hole so while trying to fix it about 2 1/2" broke off the bottom(part that is inside the block). It went in but with the missing length I can't accurately check my oil and I'm also afraid I may be loosing some. No bigger I plan on buying an oem one this week.

Did part of the dipstick break off into the oil pan? or the dipstick tube?

It was the tube and no not into the pan. It had a kink from when I removed it and as I was trying to fix it it broke off onto my work bench lol.

Make sure you tweak the new dipstick tube above the bracket that holds it to the block. Otherwise you'll never get it lined up.

I'm slightly confused with what you have posted, but to get my dipstick on with my 4-bolt splayed mains I had to cut a few inches off the bottom of my dipstick tube, which is what sounds like you accidentally did? I don't see how that would be a problem.
But if your going with a new dipstick then go with a stock replacement.. I got one off summit for like $25 after I accidently broke my stock one in half.

It won't set quite right for starters but its only got about 1.5 to 2" left on the bottom. maybe that part isn't an issue I just assumes it would be??

I've had to toy with mine a few different times to get it to sit right and be able to bolt it to the block. But I have a picture in my camera showing my dispstick sitting in the block with the pan off after I cut a good 3-4 inches off it. I don't think it had more then 2 inches of the bottom left, probably less. I could throw it up quick if you would like.. But as long as it has enough tube to sit in the block and not fall out when bolted up then your good.

Good to know throw the pic up whenever you get a chance just to ease my mind about the length.

Figured I should throw in picture history; this picture I took because I was getting mixed reviews on the 4-bolt splayed mains and the dipstick/tube fitting. I heard that by cutting off the tube to allow room that that leaves the dipstick free to get sucked up by the crank and get wrapped around it. I found that my moroso windage tray had a hole for the tube to slide through, also does a stock tray, which kept the dipstick firmly in place. And I'm sure that most aftermarket pans with built in trays would have something similar..
You can see the tube going in the block, and sticking out the other side. Probably about 1 1/2 inches of the tube in the block, then that other inch or so sticking out the other side..

Ok so I feel better about it I may actually have a little more tube than that. The tray holding it in place is also a relief I was worried about it getting caught up in the rotating assembly also. I will work on getting it tighter and bolted up tomorrow and will update on the progress. Thanks I believe you may have saved me couple bucks.
