so my tranny temp gauge has a random "jumpy" thing that it does ... i know this is due to a bad conection some place but i hace checked all the wires in the back and they are good ...

and dome times the temp gauge will max out and hang out there unless i hit a bump and it jumps down a little bit the back to maxed out

the funny thing is this happens totally at random ... it will be fine for weeks then all of the sudden it acts up for a few days ...

do i just need to rewire the whole thing?

That is weird, are the gauges sharing a common ground? Make sure the wires aren't touching/ rubbing on anything shorting them out (firewall gromet, exhaust, etc). I know my trans temp gauge in my truck uses a resistor liker a coolant sensor, maybe it's going out. It might be worth your time to send an email to Autometer with that video and see what they say. I had my electric fuel psi gauge quit working and after calling them they sent me a new sender which fixed the problem. I paid shipping that's was all, I had the gauge almost two years when this happened.
