383 Stroker Dyno Results w/Sheet & Video!

The tune is still slightly off but I had a chance to get 2 baseline pulls today for $40...couldn't turn it down. Here are the results:

She pulled strong to start but the curve flattens out at 3800 rpms, then picks back up at 4200. You can barely see it, but it spikes at 5200 and then rolls on up. We think it is a timing issue since the AFR doesnt change and the AFR isn't perfect but it isn't horrible. The VE tables need to be tweeked but we thing timing will change this number drastically!

ANYWAYS, back to the point, she put down 423 RWHP and 395 RWTQ. What do you guys think about this dyno sheet? The video is from the first run when it put down 419 and 395.

I'd almost guess knock retard given the power dips right when the tq takes a dip too.

It isn't pulling any knock, so we are thinking the timing itself is off in that RPM range. I am going to datalog some 4th gear pulls today and see what happens.

You are right...it WAS pulling knock. We have determined it is false knock and I got it down to a range of 1-3 degrees KR. Power has gone up now! I still need to tune it some more and sort out the false knock which is the header hitting the K-Member. Once I clear that up, I am also having a problem with my passenger side O2 sensor being laggy and because of that it is dumping fuel into the pass side cylinders...it is a brand new set of O2's on the car so I am a little irritated. ANYWAYS...new numbers are:

442 RWHP/406 RWTQ

The dip was not KR though, it was a set of cells mixed up between the main spark advance and extended spark advance tables. I fixed it and the dip is gone!

442hp is solid! With a t56 you are making roughly 500-510 at the crank. Not bad for a dinosaur engine!
