This thread is about the farm time forgot or rather the old iron that has been parked and forgotten.
First off we will start with the wide shot of the area
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g205/gojo83/forgotten%20relics/84bbd56f.jpg (http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g205/gojo83/forgotten%20relics/84bbd56f.jpg)
This is where about half of the vehicles are hiding. This is a farm that has been in the guy’s family since the early 1900s and this means that the father had the depression mentality where you save everything that could be used in the future. My grandpa was the same way so I understand the mentality, but here is where the story gets sad the dad died and the son inherited the farm and all the vehicles along with it. This is where I come into the picture the son is my parent’s neighbor since they moved to the new house and well I am known as the old school gearhead in the family so that is what caught the guys attention. He told my dad about the 67 and 68 catalina that is sitting out there. This is where I found out that the guy wants very cheap prices for all the cars since he has a horrible disease and doesn’t want to burden his children. Since I am a picker at heart this peaked my interest at potentially pulling the drivetrain or fix it and drive it or find the right owner for it.
This is the 67
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g205/gojo83/forgotten%20relics/2b4bec86.jpgThis is the 68
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g205/gojo83/forgotten%20relics/99bbb369.jpg
I was able to pop the hood on the 68 and it was a 2 bbl 400 and I am assuming a th400 but not 100% sure. The 67 wouldn’t pop loose but judging by how this guy’s collection is put together I would assume it is a 400 also…
I know to some of you these cars are yawn cars but there is more I promise
I am a huge old school truck fan and most the rest of these are trucks that have so much potential to be killer drivers and or tow rigs.

This truck was actually the truck he learned to drive on so he is selling it for more but I found out that this thing is sort of an odd duck it is loaded and has an automatic which was rare for that era.

The next batch of pics is of trucks that I don’t know what they are but could be saved from the big junkyard in the sky

Now this is a snub nose chevy circa the 50s… Most of you will recognize it as the jeepers creepers truck which made me laugh

Just to give an idea how long these vehicles have been out there… that tree is growing between body and the bumper

Back to the cars… This is on the other side of the farm
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g205/gojo83/forgotten%20relics/ace0dd31.jpg
This is a Biscayne or impala I cant remember but there is 3 of those that are just sitting there having donated their hearts to run irrigation pumps back in the day.
This is 1 of the 2 trucks I would love to see saved and brought back to its former glory. How often do you see a bug eyed Studebaker truck… I think a little drop and a 5.3 with or without a turbo and a t56 and ford 9 in would make a killer show truck
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g205/gojo83/forgotten%20relics/8a0c71b4.jpg
This is the second truck I want to save well I should say the first in priority. I am thinking that this would be a great driver with a stroked lq4 stroked to 402 with ls3 heads and a fast 102 setup topping it off and a 6l60e and a 12 bolt rear and 3.73s

If you want to see more pics I took of the farm you can dig around in the folder

Now to the saddest part of the whole trip out to the farm… I am a closet Vette fan and this hurts to see. He has cancer and this is the only car he “won’t” sell… According to my dad it is a 65 stingray that has a 327 and a 4 spd.

This was just part of my trip the rest was awesome and I was able to beat on the spectrum of the SRT vehicles on the track for 10 hours and I will say the new 300c srt8 is really growing on me…blacked out on the optional black chrome rims with 15% tint and call it good for the time being
