LTx Tech 2013 Calendars -- Initial Thread and Photo Submisisons [Archive]

The RULES:

1. MUST be an LTx Powered Vehicle(s)
2. Photo must be taken by you and your car MUST be in the photo. I.E. no shooting other peoples cars for submissions.
3. Multiple car shots are allowed, meaning Multiple LTx Vehicles, NOT a collage of a single car. See Rule #1
4. Multiple submissions are allowed, though only one pic per user may be considered for voting.
5. Only 1 post per person. If you add pictures, do it to your original post. This is a must for keeping things organized.
6. Photo Submission Deadline is September 30th
7. Rights reserved to change the rules if something is deemed necessary.

After the deadline, a new thread will be started (depending on submissions, could be a couple of threads) that will start the voting. Staff will determine which pictures are selected for the voting. Voting can potentially be several rounds, again depending on amount of entires. Popular vote will determine calendar winners.

After voting has ended and all calendar photos are chosen, we will set up printing and get this going. Price will be a consideration, so have no fear.

For a phone, yeah. But for the calendar submission we really need as high of a quality shot as you can get. Think calendar size, and unfortunately phones tend to get pretty noisy on the image quality unless there's TONS of light.

I'm seeing a lot of good pics from everyone. Keep the submissions coming, and don't be skeered. EVERYONE should be entering this. It's no cost to you to enter, and you could end up in a calendar.

Yeah - like Sean said above. Phone quality pictures *can* work, but they have to have really, really good lighting. One thing I always use as a comparison -- take a digital camera photo and blow it up to full size and look at the level of detail. Then blow up a phone's picture and blow it up to full size. Yes there's a lot of phones that take multiple megapixel pictures, but a large majority of the cellphone cameras out there don't compare to a good digital camera.

Way nicer than the 70 Malibu I had. I had all the parts to make mine a ss 396 clone but sold it.... for $600. Let the dash and vette rallyes go but kept the 396.

Some of these are good but to be honest, we don't want a picture of your car in your backyard, go find a nice scenery spot to take a picture.

My 2 cents.... and I guess you can't enter a 3.8L car with a Trans Am Bumper, can we?? LOL

The flat black goes between the headlights on the nose and the corners of the lights where its usually black is white to keep a straightline.

Well shit. I tried. Got up early, had to dick around and find something to wash the car with because my wife gave away my ONLY wash bucket. So I cannibalized one of her big plastic drawers from her craft bin. Take that. Washed the car with non-existent water pressure cause the place we live in sucks. Got it looking good enough for pics........and it fucking storms. Thought it was all over, went out to dry the car off, as I'm drying, it starts raining again. I give up.

Already in the plans, going to have it ALL removed (drivers window is butched from bad felt pads), and go to 15%. And some black 19" ROH Drift-R wheels (wifey ok'd the purchase....just gotta save) and I'm in business.

Any scenic backdrop works for any color. Just frame the car fully, her the backdrop adequate, and avoid distractors like power lines, house in the background, people and animals, etc.
