Alright, so I removed a alarm out of my car, as Im not a fan other things like that being installed by others...

Well there were two wires I was worried about, a pink wire, and a yellow wire.

Long story short, I removed the alarm, and patched the wires, and I turn the key to the on position, and my gauges flash erratically, I unhook the ground off the battery, and rehook and everything works fine.

Great off to dinner I go, come back out, and same thing happens again....

Unhook the battery, rehook, and it works fine agian. I get home, switch it off 10 or so times, every time it works fine...

what the deuce is going on?

Im pretty sure it the pink wire due to that diagram

If that circuit has high resistance that will likley occur as that circuit feeds the gauges. Using a DVOM and some jumper wires, voltage drop between the battery and fuse F9. You dont want to see more than .3v dropped across the circuitry.

An example of this I have for you is at work right now (Ford) people have been splicing into the hot in run circuitry for the power windows. These accesories are adding just enough voltage drop to make our windows inoperative.

Here is a good video explanation

What is the fix if that is the issue?

Overlay the wire if the resistance is high

lol Overlay? Sorry man, basic electrical kinda guy here.

Would soldering the wires back together fix the issue?
