Seriously? There's actually been state govt folks working on legislation for this stupid shit? Here's a great thought about protecting them. Make them responsible for their own actions. If you're acting stupid and not paying attention and end up getting hurt, can that really be blamed on someone else much less made someone else's responsibility to ensure you're protected while doing said stupidity? What the fuck. This is why our govt is so jacked up. They waste time on stupid shit like this while not paying attention to the important stuff. Too bad they can't get hurt in the process, a little eye opener maybe.

Agreed 100%. In Michigan they recently reversed the law requiring helmets for motorcyclists. We've had a ton of motorcycle deaths since then, most of which were with riders not wearing their helmets. As far as I'm concerned, reversing the law was a great form of population control... Survival of the fittest.

We were just talking about this at work yesterday. legislative government is in session far to long these days. They should cut the pay and make it a part time job. They sit there and make up stupid laws because they feel the need to DO something because they are in session and dont want people to say they don't do anything. If the sessions were shorter they would have to address just the important things.

Agreed because im not too sure i even know what my tax dollars are paying for anymore!!!!?
But i must say some of the fault lies in the people as well. 90% of the people i work with do not vote or if they do its according to what they see on tv. And even if they did vote it wouldnt matter because theyd never write there senators, congresmen, or governers to express there opinions lije we are supposed to do!!!!uuuughh

Amen to that. It reminds me of the time when congress spent all day debating whether or not the motto should be "In God We Trust" and then voted to confirm the motto was "In God We Trust" -- but it's ALREADY "In God We Trust" since Eisenhower signed it into law in 1956.
The Republican-led House passed a bill 396-9 to reaffirm the motto on Tuesday night, with sponsor Rep. Randy Forbes (R-Va.) saying it was needed because "there are a number of public officials who forget what the national motto is, whether intentionally or unintentionally."

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart had a field day with it.

I agree with survival of the fittest however I rarely say much about it because I feel like if I were to emphasize it, something stupid would happen to me and make me look all talk, no show... call it karma I guess lol
