i need help, when i bought my car my gas gauge didn't work, i had to put a new fuel pump in it the next day cause the factory one bit the dust. I thought that the new pump would fix my problem, but it didn't...any suggestions on where i should look next?

now did you replace JUST the pump or the whole module too?? i sell parts, and it is a module assembly thats generally replaced in these cars. not to say that you can't replace just the pump, but its an assembly that inlcudes pump, strainer, float, fuel reservoir and sender. if your senders fucked then you need to replace that...if you did replace it i'd check the resistance right at the tank and see if theres a reading.

I replaced the whole module. I baught it brand new from a chevy dealership. But i knoe the car has been wrecked so its not perfect and im sure its brrn abused. So i am wondering if its in the dash somewhere

An easy way to test this is to disconnect the connector at the back of the vehicle place a headlamp bulb between the fuel gauge circuitry, take your instrument cluster out and jump power and ground to those circuits. For sake of argument if the bulb burns bright your problem is in the cluster or between that bulk head connector to the sender. If you want to get more into it. You dont want to see more than .3v dropped on either side of the circuitry, which the headlamp bulb will flush out if you have poor pinfit anywhere

At pin 2 of connector A you want to see around 90 ohms at full and 0 at empty if all that checks out make sure power is present at pin 5 of connector A
