A friend of mine talks a lot of trash about his mustang.

So we where at a friends house last night watching the UFC fight and a buddy of mine starts in on how fast his fox body is as usual. I finally convinced him to race me. His car is a 91 GT 5 speed with 2.73 gears headers h-pipe and its dumped at the axle. I think he has cold air intake and not sure if he has an upgraded intake or not (cant remember).
My car is a 73k mile 96 Z28 6 speed. Everything is factory stock except a k n cold air intake, 90 dgree elbow and air foil.

So we line up on a deserted country road as a friend flags us. I rev up to 2k and dump the clutch. The car learchs and chugs and Im like wtf? I look down and oops forgot to turn the traction control off. Damn it. So we line up again I rev up to 2400 and dump the clutch. I spin like a bastard and he pulls about a car length on me. I finally stop spinning and bang seconed. I start realing him pretty quickly. We only raced to 100. By than I was pulling on him pretty hard. At the end his front bumper was behind my rear tire.

We decide to race one more time. This time I only rev up to 2k and dump the clutch. This time I catch traction about the same time as him and its not even close. By the time I hit third I already had a car length on him. I shut it down at 100 and I had him by 1 1/2 to 2 car lengths.

It was nice to shut up the trash talking for a night, oh and it always brings a smile to my face to beat a mustang.:D:D

Nice it's fun to shut some people up. I've got a guy with a 03 Gt with Boltons and gears I need to put the hurt on hahaha.

I also have a work friend that was talking alot of trash about his '00 GT. He finally got that pos 4.6L put back in after he teashed his heads and we are both running bald tires so we tried a few roll races. The best was the 20mph i jumped about 4 cars on him between 1st & 2nd. Mind hes in a auto car and im spinning the entire time in my m6. The best part was when we stopped his girl says " I love your car can I ride in it?" it was feakin priceless.

Dude the birds just have that effect. I couldn't tell you how many nights my wife got mad cause girls asked to ride in my ws6. I never obliged but you know jealousy

GT40 intake,30lb. Injectors
3.73 gears
Longtubes X pipe etc.
Pulley kit
Tune w/rpm extender
1.6 rockers
Drag radials
And run a 13.4

Lt1 Z28
Longtubes X pipe
4.10s
1.6rr
Madtuner tune
SLP lid
Drag radials
And run 12.9;)

Looking forward to being able to build my car but the coupe Mustang (90) I had was this. 306 cid, forged flatops, B303 cam, 1.6 RR, extrudehoned gt40Ps, ported stock upper and lower intake, 24lb injectors, 70mm throttle body+egr spacer, C+L 73 mm mass air, 1 5/8 inch BBK equal length shorty headers, electric fan, stock but hollow h pipe full length with 2 chamber flows and 3.55 gears. I ran against quite a few 12 sec cars and usually beat them but only lost to a GNX that ran consistent 12.20s with his MPH being good enough for 11s and that was only by 1.5 to 2 cars. I am somebody who is not so much Chevy or Ford ect I just like muscle and I have always wanted the Z/28 I have now so I am a happy guy but I do still kinda miss my old Mustang.

I should also say that if I can get my Camaro in to the 11s and have a DD that I can drive everywhere I will be happy and with my knowledge and the guidance from the members here I do not see that as much of a problem. LTXtech members ROCK!

Thats what I figured because the SBC is something I cut my teeth on back in the day and I DD my car now and she is really faithful taking us any place we want to go and thats with damn near 255000 miles! I want to do something old school that will be faster because thats what I know and I want an old Nova or Charger or something that will be in the 10s or lower and I am not hung up on brands except when it comes to imports. Imports have their place but they have no soul to them, my little red car has a soul because I can feel it, this car was supposed to be on it last legs when I got it and that was over a year ago and it runs better now than when I got it. Nucken I need more info on yours and other 93s for research and inspiration if you dont mind :)
