So for the last two days, Ive been going back and forth with people bashing cops for not noticing a dead body on a hot day. In short, a homeless woman, who was a regular at the boro park, died next to the water fountain on a 100 degree day....,
Here is the article.... and the 100+ comments going back and forth with people saying that the cops should have noticed her......
My original standpoint was basically, Im sure they did... but if she is there every day... WHAT WAS THE DIFFERENCE. Anyways, I know some of you have read it and commented on it... but if you got some time, and want some fun reading (the topic is not fun), enjoy the comments.
PS- I know some of you are not fans of Police Officers, but realistically what are your impressions?

What planet is this guy living on?
"yeah there are a few good police officers, but that fact is 7 out of every 10 are crooked, think their better than everyone else, and abuse their position because they hide behind that tin badge and gun"
I have know lots of cops in my lifetime and found that most of them are regular people who have a very tough job.
We here lost one of our offices back in November as he pursued a bank robber and it was a terrible loss for us all.
Popo, dont listen to fools like this guy the cops keep us safe and it is a calling to go out each day knowing that you may never come back.
I bet this guy would be the first one to call for the so called crooked cops if he had a problem, guess he had the day off from his job as a crash test dummy.

I look at it like this, what's the ratio of citizens to LE in that town? How many people walked by and how many officers? If anyone is to blame its the people. There is more of them. We live in a "hands off" or "not it" society. We expect the school system to teach our children morals, the government to provide for us, and now, evidently, our police to keep track of everyone and everything. What ever happened to taking care of our own? Looking out for our neighbors? Its easier and less messy to just farm the job out ....

I know it has me all fired up and that does not happen very often. I do not think anyone is to blame. These people are ridiculous, their opinions do not even make sense to me. I know some of my comments on their are not politically correct but up until just a few posts ago they completely ignored everything I typed anyway!

Dude, I was practically rolling lol
It's really sad that it does take military or other LEO to understand something like that. I think that emergency services and the military are the last bastions of society who go above and beyond on a regular basis to make sure that everyone else is ok first. Of course there are the oddball civilians to do their best to help someone in need, but those are few and very far between in my experience.

Thank You very much man... the frustration has gotten the best of me , to the point where I snapped out of serious conversation and started quoting movies and adding links..... Morris really put the smack down at the end, Im not sure if they will have any more to say but if they do, I can almost guarantee it will be WAY OFF TOPIC.

It just drives me nuts that its always someone elses fault... THE LADY DIED... does it matter if a cop stumbled upon her or a civilian did... does it matter if it was 30 minutes after T.O.D. or if it was 12 hours later... The fact of the matter was, this woman lived on the streets, seeing her next to the fountain laying down in the grass was not an out of the norm sight....... She was almost 50 years old... If she made it that long, then I will be damned if she was not able to take care of herself. HOMELESS does not equal unable to care for ones self.... Ive dealt with the rich... Ive dealt with the homeless... one end to the other..... I just dont get it any more...

Of course it will be. They have no legitimate point and they will do the typical bleeding heart liberal pussy thing and try to shout you down even though they know in their heart of hearts that they are very, very wrong.

It's the increasing stupidity that is being allowed in our society. We have gotten so far from the having to take care of ourselves, that people just flat refuse to anymore. It's all about what is convienient for me and screw everyone else.
