Tracking down an old car?????

I was wondering if there is any way you can track down a car after you have sold it? I saw my car up on craigslist 2 years ago and tried to get it back but the owner was being an ass about it. But now after i got rid of my 94 z28, im trying to track down my 93 z28, i still have the vin number.

Indeed it'd be a glorious swap, whoever I buy the parts from is going to be my best friend with the amount I'm going to be spending just for swap/conversion parts
