I guess I never noticed this before, but apparently for the past few years, rentals no longer come with bonus features. I guess I've not been renting right DVD's cause I just found out last night.

Netflix and such are killing rentals. We have like 4 different streaming movie services now at home and I think all rental places are gone in my general area cept for redbox. It sux, cause we had a mom-and-pop rental place that was really cool and I used to "backup" alot of rentals.. LOL. Now I just buy movies if I want the extras. Sign of the times I guess.. Movies houses are greedy so why would they allow full content on the media that is used for they dying rental business. Ever wonder why ppl bootleg and torrent? this is why..:secret:

I "backup" anything I rent. And the extra features, or lack thereof, don't bother me. Never watch them anyway.

I usually don't, but this movie ended with a cliffhanger, and those stupid cut scenes at the end of the credits, but don't truly tell the end of the movie, and was hoping one of the deleted scenes actually said what happened..

I have been cable TV-free for about a year now. Just using an AppleTV w/Netflix and have a commercial broadband Internet connection (mainly for so I have a static IP). My bill went from $160/month for Internet+TV to $8/month for Netflix and $60/month for Internet.
Movie rentals are so expensive, looking back. RedBox is great and easy and has become popular all over. I saw some similar Blockbuster machines cropping up but never bothered with them. I can still rent movies right from AppleTV (iTunes) and they are also expensive.

Going internet and netflix is my plan of attack when I move to cleveland. There's never anything on cable and the only reason I have a landline is because I had ATT cellphone service when I moved in where I'm at now. So really not necessary when I move lol.

I go to FYE and buy all my movies used. I pay like 15 bucks for 3 movies and sometimes get a 4th free
