Well its been a though decision but me and the brother in law talked it over and we have decided to step back from the ltx car. I just can't justify the cost to make it competitive to run ultimate street let alone x275. So we will be focusing on getting a x275 car the can run 4.70 range for next year. It's our intention to keep the ltx and run a few races but we will not be trying to push it any further.

:face_shocked: I don't think I was able to speak with you at the Shootout, but what an awesome car. X275 is kind of a dream (more like a pipe dream with my budget) for me to run someday. I'm glad to see you aren't getting rid of the car entirely though. LTx is definitely a dying breed.

i am only running 1 class this year so i will have more time to watch some racing.

i am excited and bummed at the same time. we have stuck with it for 10 years but even at our best we would not even qualify. i even tried to get some support for a large bore aluminum block but most people were unwilling to put there money were there mouth is. and with out a 4.125 bore i cant put a big enough head on it to be competitive.

we don't have any plans to sell it at this time. and i don't think we could get much money for it considering you can buy a turn key x275 car from 25k to 50k depending on how fast it is. hell kingjack on yb is selling his mustang for 50k and it runs 4.60's. right now the market is good for buying cars but net selling.

i was eying this but at 611" its not legal for x275.

Damn that kinda sucks to hear. You looking for a new car or just the engine combo?

complete car. its much cheaper than redoing what we have. its 5500 just to do the 25.5 in moly. then you start adding in all the other stuff it adds up crazy fast.

What if you were able to scrounge up one of those GM Raceshop blocks? Would that make you stick to the LTx engine?
