So I have a 74 Chevy Nova drag roller. Sitting, collecting dust. I don't think that I will ever get around to using it. Also feel that the economy is headed south (as well as my job) and a drag car is worthless if you got no money to throw at it. Any way, I was curious if anyone here may be able to give me an idea what its worth these days. I paid $3000 for it about 2 years ago. Car is pretty much ready to run. Add engine pop the holly blue system back in and go racing. Basic write up of what is done do it.

Do have title
- 8 point Roll Bar tied into the frame
- The car has a Harwood 6" cowl fiberglass hood, Harwood 72 front and rear fiberglass bumper, Lexan front and rear windshield
- FULLY wired with MSD-6AL
- Fuse Box
- Jegs Line-loc
- Competition Engineering 3-way adj. front Drag Shocks
- Autometer Oil, Water Temp, and 5" tach with light
- Hurst Quarter stick
- It has Jegs Pro star wheels with Nitto front runners and M/T 28x10.5 slicks
- 9" rear end with 4:56 Richmond Gear, and full spool with rear disc brakes
- Complete fuel system with RCI 5 Gal cell, Holley blue pump, Mallory Filter, steel line (also areomotive a1000, -10 line and filters.
- Battery is relocated with Moroso switch, custom hold done and charging plugs
- TH-350 Transmission rebuilt 25 passes ago with 2500 10" converter, Will hold app. 450 hp I have a 3800 stall RVMB TH400 as well.
- New driveshaft built for the car 25 passes ago
- NO ENGINE But I have MANY (expensive) LTx parts stock piled for it. (plans were TT 383)
- It is set up for a sbc and comes with the engine mounts
- Cooling system includes Jegs Aluminum radiator, 2 Speed S fan, and tranny cooler
- Lexan windows all way round.

Car went sideways and bumped the wall. Needs a Right Rear quarter skin, front right headlight/bezel and some paint.

Curious as what you would pay for it.

I love the car man a nice 454 would be awesome in that. the economy is really tough and I have even seen the classic car market take a huge hit. But it really erratic some stuff goes for good money and some doesnt. If it has a tittle you should be able to get at least what you paid out of it. When we bought the 70 chevelle ss we paid 2500 for a shell that a crazy ex-wife took a baseball bat to. So with a tittle to a collector or someone looking for something to play with on the weekends I can see it going easily for 3k to the right buyer.

Thanks for the info AdamG. I sure hope I'd be able to get most of what I paid for it back. I really like the car. but I don't want to be stuck with it and a shop full of goodies if things go haywire.

I wonder if it would be worth throwing a stock SBC in there just to make it a turnkey car. I realize most people already involved in racing are probably going to have their own powerplant they want to run but they already have cars too. I think it would appeal mostly to the guy that is looking to get involved. It sounds like it would be a good index car. Makes me want to slap some goodies on my parts car and start racing!

The way it sits I'd put it up for around $7500 if the body was fixed. If you don't want to hassle with it ask 4500-5200 and see what happens.

I thought about that. Just grabbing a 350 or a truck 454. Slapping on a cam and headers and go. But, knowing me I couldn't just stop at a cam only engine. But It would definitely help with the sale of the car.

I'm still debating. I hate to sell it, but I feel its worth more now, rather than later.
