What do you mean by random misfire? Is is at any specific rpm, does it back fire, down on power?

did it have a misfire before the plugs and wires change? if not i would check for a cracked insulator on a spark plug or a wire boot thats not snapped in all the way. i had to pull the boot back on my msd's a little bit to get them to "click". one other thing would be to make sure a wire didnt melt to the header/manifold. pop the hood at night in the dark and look for lightning. if that all looks good, double check that you got the firing order right. seems like i always get 2 mixed up on the drivers side for some reason...

If all is well with plugs and wires i hate to say you been had by the dreaded opti-spark monster. I'm in the middle of a opti replacement now. If you are not familiar with the opti its your distributor located under the water pump.

Hows your fuel psi? Check the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator to the passenger side of the intake. If it smells like fuel or has fuel in it you've got a bad FPR.
