My insurance company totaled my Camaro, so I need some links and such of Camaros like mine for sale that are for $6,500 or more, so I can get a good price for my car and buy it back. Mine has 44,000 miles from Arizona, no rust, and WAS in flawless condition. So I need some proof of how much these clean low mileage Z/28's are worth! Thanks guys

They aren't going to give you $ based on ads you hand them. I could create a couple for $8k to help you out.

Just keep rejecting their offers. They'll go up.

We could make fake overpriced for sale ads for our own cars? :jest:

Seriously though, that's a bummer to hear. People already named all of the places I'd tell you to look, so good luck man.

How did the car get totaled? Hopefully it's cool if I ask.

I can pick up a '93 Z28 with 35k miles on it for $3,500, so if you get over $5k I'd be pretty happy with it. ;)

Damn really? Where are you from clean Z's are hard to find around here. I'll be happy with 5k, buy back for under 1000, and fix it for 1500.

Mine had a salvage title and I had about 4K in it. I hit a deer and totalled it. Insurance company gave me $7500. Salvage title didn't matter, car not being painted didn't matter. Wrecking the Z was one of the better things that happened to me, although the car was down for some time.

Car is a 1997 Z28 M6 T-tops and loaded. Had ~140K on the clock at the time of the accident. I bought the car back for $800. I put another core support in it and replaced the fenders, hood, and front fascia (all out of a roller 94 for $500) and got it painted among other things.

Just keep telling the insurance company no and it will go up eventually. If you are confident in your auto body skills, you can have a nice cheap car. The only thing will be a salvage title. Those get from point A to B just as good as a clean titled car- IF done right.

That post was very very inspiring and helpful to me right now. I hope this works out as good for me as it did for you!
