MSD Distributor what to buy??

i have to option t buy the cap and rotor or the whole distributor itself. the cap and rotor set 150+ the distributor 500+. what do i buy i just want the assembly that mounts onto the front of the engine block THATS IT. the other distributor set says comes with all neccesary hardware have no clue what all that means. just dont need to waist money on something i dont need. i have all new MSD ingnition set up just not the distributor.

You need the whole distributor. The cap and rotor is just what mounts onto the other part of the distributor that mounts to the front of the engine.
