Finally finished my X pipe project. I have way more time in it than I should but I guess that's what you get when you haven't welded since high school (13 years) and your putting an system in place that was never designed to be there! I used a Summit universal 3" X pipe kit, Jegs ball and socket joints, and a Jegs 3" J bend. I made the ball and socket connection at the headers and had my Pacesetter headers ceramic coated inside and out. I had to modify the support for the DS loop on the MWC cross member to allow the X to fit. The mufflers are Flowmaster Outlaw series bullets. The system unbolts from the headers and has a butt joint just past the X making access to the DS and exhaust system removal much easier. It actually tucks just as good as the Pacesetter Y pipe I had, it was modified to a single 4" pipe at the Y to a dumped 1 chamber Flowmaster (10 series) muffler. Here's some pics of the fab/ mock up stages.

Looks really good. I will most definitively be painting my exhaust now. You have sold me.

Thanks, thats the duplicolor engine paint in silver with grey primer. It almost has a metalic flake in it.

Thanks, it's a little louder than I like but I'll get used to it. Outside it's not bad but when I pull in the garage it's a bit much! It actually doesn't rattle (or I just can't hear it) like I figured it would.

I was also impressed how well the summit universal x pipe kit fit under my old car
