Alright guys Ive been having a few issue with the lt1 today,
1st one: Been noticing my windows have been fogging up terribly lately, and figured it was because of moisture that has gotten in the car from leaving a window cracked on a rainy night (drivers side window) but a cuople of days later it is still fogging up like crazy and I look in my passenger floor board and notice a puddle of some type of liquid, So i vaccumm in out, then like a hour later more gathered into a puddle. Well Ive spent a log time cleaning it up and after lifting the carpet out and drying it like crazy finnaly seems like I have it under controll. Someone suggested that a heater hose broke. Was just wondering what I should do, will it keep leaking or is all the liquid prolly gone by now? also where can i find another to replace the current broken hose, and what will be the affects if i dont replace at the moment (loss of heat, someoen told me overheating, ect..).

Second problem: my window will go down perfect and at a good speed, but when wanting to go up it only goes up like a couple of inches at a time, then you have to wait a little while and repeat, it ususally takes a long time. Wondering if this is just a worn motor or is it a easier fix, checked for shorts in the switch but couldnt find any. Never really bothered me till the other day at the track i rolled it down and was on the line when they told me to roll it up and it was to late to try and inch it up, that would of took to long. So I had to run with it down which isnt a good thing.
Thanks guys

Heater core is leaking and you need a new window motor.

Alright sounds good guys. I lost this and couldn't find this thread sorry. Sounds easy. I'll just bypass the heater core for now and get a new window motor.

If you cant locate threads you started.... Click on your own screen name... then go to New Started Threads (or something like that) and it will give you a page of threads you started....

It comes out from inside the car. You've got to remove the underside panels of the dash on the passenger side at the very least.

There's actually a trap door the heater core comes out through under the dash so you don't have to pull the whole hvac box. You'll see it once you remove the panels under the glove box Fastbird was talking about. Disconnect the hoses and it will come out from inside the car.

For a bypass where exactly is the hose that need to loop to bypass it? Is it inside actually by the heater hose or by the firewall on the outside? I just don't know which hose I should connect to bypass the heater core? Thanks guys I bought a certain hose that is u shaped with the right size hose ends to do this just can't find the place to put it. Pics would be awesome been lookin for a good write up all day

Pull both hoses at the firewall and loop them together. Wiretie or strap em up so they dont fall onto the exhaust manifold. Or can pull both off the waterpump and put a short piece between the nipples. Only thing is all the water you will lose and the mess up front. You will lose some water looping at the firewall, but not too bad. If I can find a picture once I get to a computer I will post it.

I will take off the two hoses at the firewall. Then I will use that u shaped hose to connect those off. So I just leave the hoses that come from the water pump connected but make sure they don't burn on the manifolds. Now my car has been overheating at idle ever since this has started to happen? But once I drive it shoots back down to normal. What could be causing this?

Your probably overheating at idle because your low on coolant due to your leaky heater core. When you star moving the coolant flows through the radiator more and gets cooled off. If you need a new heater core I just did a HVAC delete and will give you mine.

Make sure you bleed the system of air. There is a bleeder on the t-stat housing and on tht top heater hose. I bet when you looped the heater hoses you introduced an air pocket into the cooling system. Make sure the coolant is full and bleed the system.

Hey guys,
Looped the inlet and outlet to the core from the waterpump. It's flowing good and works perfect. It was still overheating so I bled the air out of the system and the coolant flowed much better and the temp is cooler than ever. Thanks for the help guys
