I am probably going to steal the engine from my camaro to put in my corvette at the end of this summer. That puts me at a cross roads because im not sure which way i want to go with my camaro. I collected some stuff to go with a 383 for my camaro or got with a lsx/lqx. i have a lot to consider and im not sure which way i want to go. this will not be my first conversion as the car was originally a 3.4 so i know a lot of work is involved. But i would love to hear opinions.

Won't fit. That's a WIDE motor. At least I don't think it would fit.

There is suppose to be some nationally known LT5 engine builder right around here somewhere. It would definitely be an expensive swap, also unique.

Im looking for a lq truck motor for my 95 right now.

My buddy has been getting the lq truck motors for approximately 1000 bucks a piece he just picked up his third one this week. Thats a complete engine accessories, harness, pcm, and transmission. He said he could grab another one for me if i wanted it. If not my other buddy has a license to go to the copart auction that is here locally he said he can grab a totaled out ls1 z28 for a decent price.

no way would i touch an lt5 last one i saw go for auction went for big bucks. I could do a whole ls1 conversion for just the cost of an lt5 lol. Im actually kind of excited to put the lt1 in the corvette. I think the lt1 that is in my camaro will be great for my 69 corvette.

well Im going to go with a 383 ltx in the camaro. After talking to some people I feel it is the easiest way to achieve the goals i want to reach. So i guess ill start a thread when i get closer this fall to actually starting it. thanks guys.
