Well need some insight on two cams I have been bounching back and forth. A cc503 or a gm847 cam with one will be best for a stock bottom end motor. And if I were to do the gm what would be some other of the supporting miss would I need to do other then lts and stall

Heads are a must to breath for that big gm cam

Define best. All things equal, stock heads, and in good shape here's how those two would break down:

CC503 -- Should make in the 225-240 rwhp range, nice flat tq curve, lots of power under the curve. Peak around 5800-6000 rpm.

GM847 -- Should make in the 355-370 rwhp range, leaky tq curve, slightly less power under the curve but will charge hard on the top end, will want to be revved to about 6400 rpm or so.

So, best is subjective to what works for you.

Well top end is what I want so the 847 is the best cause the power band is higher

Be prepared to redo the bottom end when you spin that high and spin #8 main bearing. Stock rod bolts will stretch. Makes no sense to run the 847 on stock heads. Stick car would be 350 to the tire with untouched heads, your auto will be less. Heads would wake it up but it has to spin up high to make the power. You are better off either a custom grind for a few bucks more or if you don't want to go that route, do the 503. Proven cam on stock heads. Throw it in with longtubes, stall and go run lower 12's.

Okay so I made up my mind I'm going to go with loyed elliots le2 cam heads package and he has a custom grind that is comparable to the gm847 cam. Now I know the bottom end can only take so much but for a motor that has very little miles on it I think it would be okay for a season or two. But my final qestion on this is what kinda supporting mods will I need. Like what kinda rockers so I can stick them under my stock valve covers. Do I need a bigger fuel pump what size injectors and would a stock tb be okay or do I need a bigger one. I have a 3600 rev max and 3.73 with an auburn pro series posie unit so I'm okay there can u guys kinda help fill my gaps this will be my first ever cam heads build did a old 422 with a 400 but this motor is a whole different animal. Thanks so much. Now I'm going to take notes
