Was not sure if I should put this in the tuning section or in the FI section.... the issue affects both....
Ok, now that my car is running, I have a question regarding the wideband A/F ratio gauge....
Im using the AEM UEGO and its awesome....
My question is simple....
What is the BEST numbers for the car to be ideling at.....and also what are the best numbers the car should be running/WOT?
Thanks all....

I would start in the mid to high13's at idle. Then adjust from there. It will tell you what it wants. At wot I have mine set to 11.8 but always trust your plugs first. A little fat only hurts performance. Lean is mean.

It was pretty much right where you are saying, although under steady cruising, in a high gear, I did see it hit the 10s, but only in vacum. Is that 2 fat?

not real sure bout cruising. but that dont sound too crazy
Not sure how cammy your engine is but if it is a rough idle you can usually smooth it out pretty good idling in the 13s. Steady cruising should be much leaner than 10s, you are in danger of washing down the cylinder walls running that rich on cruise. I aim for 15ish on cruise to self clean sprak plugs and pick up a bit of fuel economy. Boosted engines usually like somewhere in the 11s at WOT for best power and reliability. It should be leaner than that everywhere else.

leaner than the 15-17 range at idle????
And the 10s are just blinking on and off. I wrote it cause I see it, but thats not where it stays...
And its PRETTY cammy....

I meant leaner than the 11s it should be at WOT. That is the richest it should ever get.
14-15 is a good starting point for idle but you can probably smooth it out a bit by dropping down to the mid 13s at idle.
Not sure what is going on with the blinking 10s. There is no replacement for being there.

I think the blinking 10 is because that is where the guage stops.....

I am in the 14's idling and at WOT it is 11.5-11.8 (nawses though, not forced induction). Not sure if I contributed anything but I don't post much on here so this should suffice :D Good luck man!

Thank you... Im gonna drive it another day and pull the plugs.... tune is off, but car runs great, and I manipulate it if it gos to lean or fat for now.
Once Im sure there are no bugs that need worked out..... Ill see about getting MOE to PA for tunning....

you should be targeting 14.7 (which is stoichmetric for gasoline) for ideling and cruising and your wide open aka "power enrichment" should be in the 11's under boost in wot.

14.7.1 is spot on, but even in the 15's and while cruising is ok. No matter what size cam you have. The engine is in a no load condition and actually helps on the mileage as keeping the combustion chambers clean. WOT will anywhere from 11.5 to 11.8 but as said, Read the plugs, all engines no matter the same, are different..

Thank you Moe.... Just trying to have it safe enough to get some miles on to work the bugs out... then Id like to try to hire you to come up and go hands on with her......

Moe is spot on. Mine, at 1000 RPM idle, bounces around between 14.1 and 15.7 or so. While cruising (in vacuum with steady throttle) it is the same. Since your throttle position also comes into play, you can still get into the 13's with some throttle spikes while still in vacuum. Under boost (assuming WOT) mine is right around 11.3 or so, and at higher RPM [above 5800 ish) i end up in the upper 10's.
I wouldn't exactly call myself a "PRO" though...

With the HP numbers you guys have made.... I disagree. You guys are where I want to be....someday.

Idle isn't nearly as important as WOT. But you should see anywhere from mid 14's to 17 at idle.
WOT is critical, as if you get too lean on an FI car, you are really going to have catastrophic failure. Personally, I believe 11.5 is ideal at WOT. Some go a tad fatter at 11.0, others I have heard of going leaner at 12.0. I personally think 12.0 is getting a little dangerous, but it depends on how conservative your tuner is, and where you want it to end up.
Mine is at 11.5, but when my meth injection kicks in it fattens up, then leans back out to 11.5 ish higher in the RPM band.
I know this thread is a few weeks old so you probably have all this figured out by now anyways.

Ok, at idle I am seeing exactly what you are saying, between 14ish and 17.....
I have yet to go WOT, but the slight rolling into it I have done, saw mid to high 11s with SOME boost. Again, it was no where near WOT.......
Kinda have it parked right now till I get the oil leak to stop.....

Partial throttle, is not WOT, so whatever it is reading at partial throttle is not really realavent. You need to give it full WOT, and keep a close look at it. If it goes north of the 12.0 mark, you need to get out of it.
Are you done tinkering under the hood yet? (its been a while since I have kept tabs on your progress since I know you won't be a contender at the shootout). If you are done with things, you really just need to get it dyno tuned by someone who knows what they are doing. They will take care of getting you right where you need to be on the A/F stuff. If you are not done tinkering under the hood yet, then I wouldn't even be worried about A/F or even really driving it, other than just startng it for checking for leaks, and running temps ect.

if you don't mind posting a screen shot of your timing map i would like to see were your numbers are.
