So I was really wanting to get the Z to the track today as I have installed a couple of goodies recently. So I hose off the car and put a couple gallons of 92 in it. I then stroll all of 4 miles to the track. Sitting in line I see a couple of guys I know. I then realize the gates are shut. So I think to myself...well damn! I'm chatting with them for a few minutes as a few more people show up with cars on trailers and such. As stated on their website, if its sunny and 40 degrees, there will be grudge racing on Sundays after November 1st. It was dead on noon when I showed up (racing from 12-4), and the temperature had just peaked 40 and there wasn't a cloud in sight. I was pissed. Some guy trailered a car up from Warrensburg (about 40 miles from KCIR), just to turn around and go home. It was rediculous. So it looks like the Camaro won't get any track time for the rest of the year :(Bummer!

Or at least stick to their word and show up. They had plenty of people that showed up. They could have made quite a bit of money.

I was heading to the track saturday to watch some lt1 impalas race. They had it advertised on the atlanta dragway as the GASSIT shootout, and since it was on their website i thought i could go. I ended up calling when i was halfway there and got a recording saying it was invitation only. :(
