Ok, so we are trying to set up the modified IAC routing on the new edelbrock intake with the Arizona Speed and Marine Monoblade. The AN fittings are hitting, even when trying different angles, and grinding away material on them.
They are making enough contact that we will need to make a 1/4-3/8 inch spacer. Here is what I need help with...
What throttle cable are people who require a spacer using. IE, if someone installs a nitrous plate, how are they getting the cable hooked up with the extra reach from the cable bracket, so that it is not allready taching up since there are no adjustments in our cables?
Please help.

I know I am a totally different project, but I picked up the Lokar one from Summit and it was so long I had to chop about 6 inches of it. If you don't get any other feedback and want the part number let me know.

How did you manipulate the end of the lokar cable to match the TB.

It is supposed to come with the little brass fitting that clamps on the cable like a lead fishing weight. Mine was missing out of the bag so I called and it is on the way, have a rig job on it til that piece gets here. I can give you an update this week when I finally get it.

Sir... Three mounting tabs on bracket, move whole bracket forward... Done.

I run my Nitrous Outlet plate kit without the supplied bracket spacers. I have no issues with my throttle cable reaching. Have you tried it without moving the bracket already?

Ok... at this point , the owner of the shop who also is a machinist by trade is going to make me a 3/8" spacer.....
I will then get longer bolts and finish mounting everything...
I will see if (when connected) the throttle cable opens the throttle.... if so, I will figure out what to do then. Thank You all!!!

If you are having to add a spacer, i don't see how you can get away with not moving the throttle cable bracket forward the same distance. Just remember that even though it may hook up without them, that doesn't mean the throttle blade will be at 100% open since the geometry will be off with adding the spacer. That is why with the Nitrous outlet plate they include the spacers. I have seen a cable bracket bent some and work too. In the end, you will have to visually inspect blade position as well as either using data master wring actual tps and measure voltage or just measure voltage at w.o.t. since the timing and fuel tables adjust based on tps, set up is critical.

Or.... just seeing if it opens anymore with someone putting their foot to the floor lol.
Hopefully its a simple fix. MuddyJimmy was saying he did not require any spacers to be used. But odds are I will contact Nitrous Outlet, or someone who will sell me just a bracket.
and seeing if it is all the way closed with their foot off the peddle. ;)

Mine works perfectly without spacers, but then again it is installed in the superior third-gen chassis.

Well of course......

Yeah if it is using a third gen throttle cable it will be slightly different.
They don't sell a new throttle bracket, they sell what I pictured. Basicaly you bolt those on to the existing holes on the intake, then bolt the bracket to that. It moves the whole bracket forward to allow for the increased distance. What visually looks to be 100% open vs. Actual 100% open are two different things. Key example, the holley tb opens to what you would expect to be 100%, but actually drives open further than 100% and wipes out tps sensors. Ask me how I know..... A stop has to be made.
Just because the blades open until it stops is a lot different than 100% open at correct voltage/reference voltage. At closed throttle, key on engine off, set tps @ .67 vdc. Once that set, open blade to 100% and you should then see 5 vdc. Anything above or below is wrong. Adjust a stop or add the adapters as necessary.

I have no idea how to do that stuff, but hopefully BLUEBOTTLEZ does. Thanks bro...
