Agreed, but it's so hard to find one for sale lol. I did run into 2 of them at the Dallas Cars and Coffee meet this month! Never seen an LT5 in person before until then and found 2 at the same spot. I went out and bought a lottery ticket, too, but didn't win anything. :(

that looks like a pretty low optioned trans am. no t-tops and no 10 speaker stereo. i wonder if the spoiler was standard by 97? i know in 94 it was a separate model GT vs regular T/A and in 95 the spoiler became a ~ $400 option.

I went down in late winter to see it...it has been sitting for over a year with a blown head gasket and he took out the battery so you can't start it. And all 4 tires need to be replaced, back 2 are down to cords and front 2 look like they were slashed, I had him down to $2400 but when he got the title he never paid sales tax so it is not a clean title till he pays the fees...I was going to take the wheels and put them on my car, but with how long it has sat with blown head gaskets and with him driving it like that the motor is probably seized

Exactly! It's way too long up front lol. Someone on the other site said it appears that they basically grafted a motorcycle nose onto the bumper and added a bunch of splitters. The spoiler looks interesting IMO, but the nose kills it for me.

Long link, I know... But can anyone see any reason I shouldn't take a buddy of mine interested in getting a Firebird to go check this car out? Looks clean from the pics, 73k miles, auto. Maroon Formula, cloth grey interior. Price is awesome as long as it runs good and doesn't have any major issues to fix immediately. Can any of you guys see anything wrong with it I'm missing?

I also text this guy to see what the deal is. Although he never mentioned it when you text him he now claims to have paper work proving its built. When I asked what paper work, dyno sheet, build reciepts etc. He claimed to have dyno sheet and build info from the "body shop"???? that built the car. I asked him if the sameguy that gave him the "paper work" told him it was an ls1 he said yes. I then told him that he had a stock lt1 worth 1500-2000 bucks.
Then he tells me that even when he didn't select ls1 on KBB it came up as worth 3900. I then told him good luck and sorry you got burned. I genuinely just want to educate him a little so he didn't burn some ignorant kid into believing he has something he doesn't. Lol

here is my 96 impala that was in an accident and I used my 93 caprice fender hood radiator shroud and bumper. it has 275 hp corvette lt1 350 no smoke or leaks or burning oil, floor shift trans with recent flush n clean, duel power seats power windows, locks, cruise control, gray leather interior, white led interior lights, power trunk with remote and unlock, rauto headlights, Sony CD, speakers, duel flowmaster exhaust, 20x9.5 iroc rims with new tires, clear corner lights, momo steering wheel and shifter, new battery, alternator, fuel pump, radiator, wiper blades, sparkplugs, cooling fan, water pump, lowering springs and shocks with alignment. I have the stock shocks. needs carpet for interior I was going to sound proof and black carpet and has dents n dings and could use paint. if your going to offer 2500 go buy a caprice and I'll keep it.

Looks like it's been sitting for a while also maybe he was cleaning the throttle body and decided to take a pic or just got lazy and didn't put it back on since he knew he wasn't going to drive it
Just noticed the as is writing on the window also idk I'd be kinda worried about the motor since the tb is open but if your gonna get it for the track it looks like a fun project also

Flow numbers, comparing the Airfoil, maf screen gone, and other tweeks. I learned a very good base in engines entirely from the book.

No worries I'm not taking it that way. Deals do pop up time to time like the one I got for 275.00. I saw one sell on ebay for 525.00 the other day. The issue is WS6 hoods are reproduced so there cheap and lighter then oem ones. But the aftermarket boxes suck. So factory ones tend to pull good money.

It's on the top of the radiator couldn't be easier to swap out. When I replaced my radiator, I had read that cleaning the sensor would keep it from breaking, so I cleaned it and managed to break it in the process so don't always listen to the internet was the lesson there. I might just buy one of those in the future, my light is always on.

Yea, pretty easy, I'd remove the battery to have more space..remove the clip out comes the sensor.
