Finally got a chance to pick up an LT car. It's a real deal WS6, 120k miles, M6. Already had 3.73s (not sure why for an M6) and LS brakes. It's a bit of a project, but the work has begun. Seats recovered, painted non-matching mirror, have 2 new fenders painted and ready to go on, and finally tracked down the source of the DTC (previous owner put on an ICM from a '93 car...ran fine, but the PCM apparently didn't like it...go figure using an OBD I part on an OBD II car). Adding UMI SFCs, LCAs and an adj PHB this week, as well as new fluids in the tranny and rear. GMMG catback is in route, and headers/y-pipe are being ordered today (Kooks unless someone has a suggestion for something better). Then wheels, some Konis, and drive the wheels off it this summer (my ride of choice for my 5th annual Power Tour). Feel free to suggest any "must have" mods or any other suggestions for the car...enjoy:

Looks like a good starting point. How much did you pick it up for? NICE collection of cars for sure.

I paid $3700 for it...may seem high, but f-bodies seem to bring a premium in my area, and it's pretty low mileage for the age. Regardless, I'll have no more than $1500 in it getting it spruced up, so if I really needed to unload it for some reason, I wouldn't be too deep in...except for the other goodies I've already ordered for it:devil:. Regardless, I think it will be a gorgious car and I really like driving it thus far...different animal than the LS cars.

Guess I should have subscribed to this thread...sorry for the slow reply. I'm north of the river, 169 and I-29 area. Work down at KU Med on Rainbow. I know my way to Buckner...have you ever seen the collection of cars/truck/tractors etc at the Alderson's?

Yeah, I really wanted a '96 due to the limited production. I'm curious what the breakdown is on silver cars...you know at least 75% the production has to be red, white or black, and then green would surely be the next most common color. I saw a silver hardtop when I was hunting, but it was too far from home. Also saw a quasar blue hardtop...those would be rare cars. Tell me more about the SLP registry...

Those wheels are stunning and match the car perfectly.

Thanks Fastbird! I'm pretty happy w/ the whole set-up. Some monster brakes would sure look good behind those wheels...
