I had asked for some stuff for the garage (work table, pegboard for the wall, and a work light for above the table) and a new phone since mine crapped out.
So I got a bunch of Star Trek stuff (cool but I didnt ask for it), some shoes that are exactly like mine except they have blue accents instead of the black, and I got a Nokia N9.
So I was pretty pumped about the new phone. its pretty slick looking and has some stuff, but since it runs a Linux based OS there really isnt too much stuff available for it (from an initial glance)
But after I started researching there are tons of stuff.
The most cool is this

A freaking OBD2 scanner in the phone. EPIC http://www.ls1lt1.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif

nothing, and i gave nothing. this holiday has gotten way too materialistic. people forget it's not about the gifts. it's time spent, with sig others, or family. gifts are for the kids. people should be giving year round, not just this time. i'm not sad i didnt get anything, i'm glad people i know didnt have to waste their money on pointless things i either didnt need or didnt want. if anything i'm happy this holiday is over and can't wait for this year to be over.
not to, you know, sound like a grinch or anything. i took a holiday from xmas, and it was quite nice.

I was off shore, about the only gifts I get from here are the runs and athletes foot. My sister and brother in law got me a Kindle Fire, now I have to get them some thing. I was thinking about putting the family cat in a box and giving her to them, surprise you got a cat! But I'll probably just get him a gift card to Bass pro and her one to Sephora or Coach.

Ewwwww!
I got some clothes, a good amount of money to help fix my car, a visa gift card, and a garage sign. Best part was spending time with the family.
