My blue 94 z was just on a dynotune we didn't get it done, due to the optispark but thats typical...the 383 I put in it did well pushing through the semi stock drivetrain. When we could get it to run we made about 295/388 to the ground on the 2nd run and that's with a late pull...I feel its not bad for stock top end and the bottom end done but after the opti is fixed we'll see...also this is my first fuel injected car I've built.

It is a 383 Stroker bottom end with a stock top end?? I am confused...why are you running a 383 Stroker on stock heads/intake?? What cam?? Also you are blaming an incomplete dyno on the opti, but I have not had ANY problems with my opti on my 97 SS when I was running 411RWHP and 390RWTQ...If you set up the opti properly you won't have NEAR as many issues as people claim to have.

it has a mild cam and the valves are a little bigger numbers escape me at the moment. The whole thing with this car is i did a mail order tune and the guy who did it fucked it up so bad that the gentleman doing my tune now spent all day fixing wrong parameters etc. Then with my luck, the opti went out as well...I say its typical because its a large problem with these cars i see all up and down the forum and outside in the real world. im sure there are guys out there running their stock opti's on some crazy setups. Its all a roll of the dice i say. But like ive stated me and fuel injection are not the closest of friends for the time being im still learning and im learning with this car.

It is about 45 miles east of Laramie. I know a lot of guys going to tech and living there.
He probably messed up a mail order tune because you are trying to tune a 383 Stroker that is being robbed of MASSIVE amounts of air and fuel that the motor is BEGGING for. Basically you are going to run worse BY FAR than a mildly modified stock LT1. You are probably going to have a lot of issues thigh to tune that thing since your running stock Injectors, stock heads and a small cam.

Well my injectors are 30# so I got that covered basically I'm restricted on airflow...once I'm done with the military and get it home it'll pick up as far as work. I just dont have a house to live so its a pain finding a place.

I am military as well....do you already have a job lined up?? If not then don't expect work to "pick-up"...the economy is SHIT right now and jobs are few and far between.
Also, yes you ARE still somewhat restricted on fuel with SVO's. I had 30# SVO's on my H/C/I 357 build. For a 383 you typically want a bigger injector, more head, more intake and more cam.
It sounds to me like you build a 383 on an EXTREME budget and haven't done any research to be honest, and that is a BAD combination. Hell each one on their OWN is a recipe for disaster!
So lemme ask you this...what internals did you use for the 383 bottom end? What crank/rods/pistons/bearings/bolts?

I'm gonna do the school thing and probably work for a diesel joint back home. But as far as internals its eagle and the cam is an erson cam.

So the internals are Forged Eagle. Who put the block together? Was it balanced properly? What size rods? Did you choose the kit and take it somewhere or did you take the car to a shop and tell them to rebuild it as a 383?
I wanna put this out there, but I am not critisizing you or trying to demean you or say your car is worthless. I am a fellow LTX Enthusiast and I want to help you out. I want to make sure she is built right and your not going to end up with an expensive break because of something you could have prevented. Some of these questions seem idiotic or basic be it is because I am trying to get a feel for what all was done and help you resolve any problems rather than make assumptions and miss something or insult you. So please don't take any questions I ask as trying to talk shit to you, insult you, demean you, or anything like that. However if you answer them completely and honestly then we can help you better in the long run and give you good information.

It's all good originally this car was supercharged and the original block suffered And nuked from it due to the previous neglecting owner...I purchased this motor from a shop my buddy recommended he got his LT from he has no problems with it...but he's had his motor longer and has deeper pockets but he did run the motor like mine for a month or so and had no real issues but like I said deep pockets amd that changes minds quickly.

Honestly, if you don't have deep pockets, you should NOT start a 383 build...
Also, you didnt answer ANY of my questions except that you purchased the short block from a shop...That is not a very good sign to be frank...If I were you I would STOP driving that car, STOP trying to dyno tune it, and find a way to either build it right, or go back to a 355 setup until you CAN go bigger...just my .02
