I've been wanting to pick up where i left off on 1hottcamaro's AI H/C 97. I jist picked up.a low milage 95z.

Here's the details on the car :
Bone stock
Just turned 72k miles
Super clean black leather (or whatever color the darkest available in 95 is called)
Polo Green (some blemishes and peeling clear)
HardtopT56

I'll post some pics later! I'm excited to start Modding, but it's going to stay stock as a DD while i pull the motor out of my stang and rebuild it. Once it's up and running, the A I setup along with full madman suspension and an s60 should make it's way underneath it. Once i get the best possible ET out of the H/C six speed combo, a stout single Turbo/glide setup will propel the beast. It should be a fun project!

Build it for the shootout! You say you are going to keep it as a DD for a while. Build it for the street stock class. Tony Q won it this year running a bunch of consistent 12.6's. That's the number to beat!

It's been a little while since I've posted about this car.......or the demise of this car. Unfortunately it was totaled in less than two months of ownership :(

In that time I had taken it to the track and got a 13.65@102 out of it, which led me to make this thread on LS1tech (I thought I made one here, but I guess not) http://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-modifications/1483491-quickest-showroom-stock-full-weight-6-speed-f-body.html

Some of the best times that I've seen out of a true full weight, bone stock, 6 speed LT1 (non SS or WS6)

About to lay the smackdown on an S197 GT!

I was going to go the bolt on route and see how quick I could get it, but I never had the chance.

From the day it got wrecked, I started looking for a replacement. I found a clean 94 T top car for $600. From that date, the slow resurrection of my LT1 began.

It looked pretty good with the pinstripe deleted, tint, and 10 spokes. Luckily I put the salad shooters back on it to run it at the track and the 10 spokes weren't on it when it got wrecked.

Stripped of EVERYTHING and ready for the scrap yeard. I had intentions of swapping the hardtop to the 94 roller that I picked up, but decided it was more trouble than it was worth........and the fact that some scumbag metal scrappers stole a shitload of the parts from this car and the 94 roller and scrapped them. I went to the scrap yard, identified the parts, and the scumbags at least got arrested for it.

And I'll be posting a build thread for the 94 that replaced it soon.

It really was a shame. I loved everything about that car. It was a low mile car, hardtop, clean black leather (dark charcoal or whatever it was called). I only disliked the 95 dash, but had an ebony 02 dash to swap into it from day one.

A lot has went down in the past couple years. we're technically still married, but have been separated since around Dec 2010. I won't get into the details because her and I are on good terms and both do what we have to do to take care of our baby girl (she's 5 already! but she'll always be our baby girl!). She still has her Camaro, but it's not doing so well. She had some hack paint it and every panel has a MAJOR blemish on it :(

The accident was no ones fault but my own. The drivers window motor took a crap. The next morning I was driving to work, the windows had frost on them, I was crossing a fairly busy street, looked to the left ( really couldnt see out the window), looked to the right, then back to the left.....I squited into the window, didn't see any cars (but was somewhat blinded by the sun gleaming on the frost). I dead pulled out in front of a grey F150. It smacked the front and spun me to where the rear smacked his rear. It broke the driver side spindle and the car just slowly crossed the street into the ditch. No one was hurt but my pride.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda........if I only would have opened my door. It's all said and done now.

Here's the thread with the replacement build:

Sorry to hear all that, but it looks like it may have gotten better at the same time based on what I saw in the other thread there :D
