just did a little research via GOOGLE and it looks as they are GEN1 SBC heads, so i am 99% sure they wont work.

The LT1 heads are a reverse cooling setup. Made for the LT1 blocks. You need a LT1 specific head! I've read that gen 1 heads can be moddified to work with our blocks. But I'm sure it will cost a arm and a leg. Our stock heads flow very good. If I was you I would get the stockers ported and use the money on other things.

it cost 400 dollars for any gen 1 sbc head to be converted to a gen 2 lt1 head by mike at cfm performance.

How extreme are you wanting heads for your 97 LT1 to be?? As said before, due to the reverse flow cooling system of the LT1, and heads for a Gen I SBC will NOT work unless you pay the extra costs to have them converted. If it does not SPECIFICALLY STATE they are for an LT1 Engine or a VIN "P" Engine, then it usually won't just bolt up regardless of what year SBC they say they are for. I have a set of Lloyd Elliott LE2 heads for sale that just need new valves if you need upgraded LT1 heads. LMK
