Tired of a guy in an 03 cobra mouthin

What do I need to beat him we are meeting up at the strip friday I have a wet kit now but only a 50 shot is on it. Im thinkin slicks and at least a 125 shot what do you all think?

Whats all done to the Cobra? If its just the standard 03 Cobra with a pulley and bolt ons, he's probably north of 500 RWHP, and you might need more than a 125 shot.

He's got diablo sport programmer and a pulley he runs 7.9 to 8.1 in the eighth

03-04 Cobras with even a few mods can be hard to beat without some power and some traction. My best advice would definately be the slicks. They have a hard time getting out of the hole. If you can get him on the launch and hold enough power where he doesn't catch up with you the rest of the race, that will be the key. If he has a pulley and been programmed, he is probably around 500 ish RWHP. I think with the 125 shot you mentioned and some slicks that it should be do-able.

Make sure he doesn't have a solid axle swap if it does then ur screwed cause they hook like mad men when that is done and the way u can tell is the rear exhaust. If its under irs if above solid

or just look at the rear end ... if it is IRS that looks totally different
