Zex window switch wireing with msd box

I have a msd 6a box just wondering if I should use the tach output from the box or if I should just splice into the wireing harness. When I installed the box I had to cut the tach filter on the car and splice the wires to gether to get the tach to read over 3k just want to make sure I get the window switch in their right
