LT1 on LT1 crime

went to watch a race at the track last weekend and was told another guy in a LT1 camaro from round here had been lookin for me, and wanting to race, funny thing he didnt look to hard cause we r friends on facebook, he has my number and his GF has my number. so i see him at the race that night and lock in 2 races, one on motor for fun and one all out for $50 1/8 on the street. well we leave the track and i dont hear from him all night or the next day or the rest of the week. so come this weekend im at the track again watch an outlaw race, im in the mood to do a lil something after. so i have my friend post up on the local bored bout running him, and he is game. meet out lock in the same races that we talked bout last weekend and head out to the country. we put some rubber down and go on motor i get him by 3/4 a car. come back heat the bottles and lay alot more rubber down, and i mean alot! line up and go he gets the jump on me and pulles a half car, i stop spinning and start pulling but not fast enough. he got me by a fender or less. looking back i wish i had put more vht and rubber down and let the car cool for bout 30min, it was warmer then i would have liked but not too bad. and i spun alot more then i wanted to.
his mods- ( that he told me) 95 z28, stock short block and cam, head work, NX plate kit, hooker headers, 3k stall, 350th, and 410 gears.
my car- 95 TA, stock long block, cc503 cam, ebay 3200 stall, performabuilt lv 1 4l60e, ebay headers, 342 gears, and a frankenstein nozzle kit.
he said he would give me a shot at my money back at the track soon. and there might be video of tonight, if so ill post it.

I never would of thought one with head work would beat the guy with a cam.

the OP was also spinning pretty badly though and it sounds like he was starting to reel him back in at the end of it.

yea if it had been a 1/4 race i would have had a car or more on him. spinning aint winning
