how i spent my my thursday

thursday i had an accident at work. i was using a 36in pipe wrench which slipped on the pipe. i fell backwards tripping on a pipe on the ground. that cause me to fall back into a vertical separators sight glass. a sight glass is a 5/8ths diameter by 3 foot glass rod. this impaled the inside of my bicep. hitting the artery. at the hospital they removed the protruding glass rod but the xray show a large piece 2 1/2 inches deep in my bicep, 3 shots of morphine later they started digging. even with all the morphine and lidocaine they had to scrape me off the ceiling. i watched my boss puke and my wife held my chest down trying to get me to breathe. i go tomorrow to access the possible nerve and muscle damage. since you all like pics

me too, its been hell the last 4 days i ended up with 20+ stitches and they sent me home with 60 lortab to last 4 days lol my wife a been a trooper taking care of me. really cant move without extreme pain

okay went to the orthopedic and now have to get a mri.. doc said i dodged a bullet and missed the ulnar nerve but have muscle damage

Wow, hope you get better soon, safely, and a way where you don't experience so much pain. Your wife is a real trooper, I wouldn't be able to get my girlfriend to do any car related activity for me... She texted me yesterday saying her ac is broken, I asked her if the light comes on when she presses the button. Her response?

"OH! Theres a button to turn on the ac?"

i did the mri yesterday and have an appt. with my othro a 2 pm today. pain is still high and any movement hurts. i wake up up with some numbness in my pinky and ring finger.

okay peeps i'm fucked. severed tendons, shredded tricep and bicecp. also there is still glass in my arm right against the ulnar nerve. i am having emergency surgery tomorrow at 12.45 idk how this is gonna turn out but i have the best in the state working on me. i'll have the wife update you good folks as to my condition. so guys ill be here in spirit for awhile

mikey's surgery went well, the glass was resting on top of the ulnar nerve. they repaired the tendon and tricep the doc said the bicep wasn't as bad as first thought. he will have a lengthy recovery. however there should be minimal permanent damage. he's being a lil bitch right now lol which is understandable as he can't workout or play with the car. its hasn't stopped him from spending money and ordering stuff. wtf are td shaft thingy cause i'm not happy happy with what he spent. lol

LOL, TD shaft thingies are just a necessary expense for LT1 cars. Everyone has them. Just a normal maintanance item really, lol! :) No worries! His recovery will be quite a while but he will be able to work on the car far sooner than he thinks. As soon as the pain is tolerable he will be out wrenching. I will give him 6 weeks until he is under the hood.
