Hey guys,
I'm Jake, new guy to the club, and i'm about to start an LT1/T56 swap into my 83 Z28. I've had the car for almost 6 years now and have done a complete restoration on it. I'll post some before pics sometime but trust me, they are UGLY! The car is currently a 5.0L TBI car with a 700R4. Basically its slow and not very fun to drive the auto. Hence the swap!
The donor car was a 97 Z28 with only 55,000 miles. I picked up the entire motor (accessories, harness, and computer) flywheel, clutch, and transmission for a song. I'll be starting this project soon and I hope to include you all with many pictures and LOTS of questions along the way so be sure to check back and help a brother out.
Here are a few pics of the car currently to start you off.

Nice ride. Interesting exhaust. If you haven't already, be sure to visit the LTX/LSX section at TGO.

Its a fully dressed LT1 off a 97 Z28 mated to a T56 6 speed. The car has super low miles, somewhere around 55K, and the harness came with every piece of wiring off the car.
I'll keep posting updates and pics as progress happens. as well as ask numerous questions along the way!
WISH ME LUCK!

Well its been a long time, but the project is basically done. :) She runs super strong and is an absolute blast to drive. Its so fun catching people off guard who think its your average slow 3rd gen haha! I've taken more pictures lately but I haven't uploaded them yet. Pictures soon, but video now!

Here is a picture of how it sits now. I'm pretty happy with how clean the swap turned out.
