finally got a clean pass

what a night last night lmao! there were a few of us ( including a fellow LTXer biggriff ) that had been planning for a month or so to hook up and hit the closest track last night. well as friday came closer the chace of rain was getting worse. around 2pm the track cancelled all activities for the night. so the next track decided they were racing. we all load up and roll through the rain showers for and hour and a half to get to the track.

on the way there a friend with his 99 SS camaro who left abit before us gets pulled over by the local sherriff just before the track, lol. after 7 tickets and not being able to move the car he asked if i would unload my car at the track and come back and get him and his SS with my trailer and tow him the rest of the way to the track.

after doing all that and getting our cars techd we were only able to make one pass before the celing dropped out and the thunder storms started, lol. biggriff and another buddy with a 95 stang stayed and made a couple passes while i went and got mr. 7 tickets, lmao.

the one run we got was agianst each other, him being on street tires though. i did wax him and his lsx ass! so for getting one run with the new edge racing converter things are looking promising after all the letdowns i had last year at the track. with some seat time and some adjustments i think she has one or two more tenths better in her n/a. when i get that dialed in, then i'll open the bottle for some 10 sec runs....

sorry for the delay dude... you had a great run sorry i missed it...always nice to see a LT wax a LS...lol as far as me, had to N/A run the 5.0 Mustang first (grudge match set by HIM) i cut a .1 and beat him by 1.1 seconds thru the traps (he was on a 125 shot)...then its was time for the 1st 150 shot pass (Pretty Much Stock LT1) cut a .1 light, 1.69 60' for a 11.8 pass at 112.5mph...new PB...thanks for all you help Chris...it was a crazy night...ecspecially the Monsoon and me without wipers....lol...should be able to dial her in to a 11.5 pass by the end of the season...not bad for what she is...:finger:

thanx man, had a blast. car was working great, not so much for the track though, typical friday night prep. this was a different track than the 11.46 i ran last week. i'm gonna say the car weighs in around 3000??? 3200 with me in it. i have yet to run across the scales. she is deff a Tin Can Racer...:devil:

ya, i think there were only one or two ls1's there that were faster than me, but there were spraying, lol! and not that much faster to boot :laugh: you missed a good time, but there will be plenty more homie! looking to go to vmp on the 29th of this month dude. hopefully you can make that one. if i put her into the 11.20's i'll spray her at least once before we leave :metal:

Nice runs again. I really need to work on getting my car down to that weight but it's not that easy when your adding weight with other stuff like drag bar, subframe connectors, roll bar, 12bolt, extreme duty torque arm. I would be really happy if I could get it down to 3200 with me.

i understand, it killed me to have to add the 6 point roll bar. damn thing must have been everybit of 75lbs. took alot of time to pull everything out of her. pulling all the no longer used wiring was a major pia, lol. as was all the little interior attaching brackets. those damn spotwelds suck ass!

gotta say a big thanx to my friend tyler for going last night and taking pics. after seeing these pics i may be on my way to the 1.40 60' i need to run 11.20's. the rear suspension needs some tweeking forsure, looks to me that there isn't any squat at all coming out the hole. hard to belive i cut a 1.59 after seeing these pics. gonna go down on the shocks and take that stupid drag bag out, lol.
