Im trying to figure out where to mount the air to water intercooler, for a custom procharger setup. Im trying to avoid mounting anything above the valve covers like the vortech setup. Im thinking infront of the wheel well, where the stock airbox goes (just below that flange with the hole in it) and im thinking i can possibly fit a 12x12x4.5 that a company sells. Im wondering if anyone has one and has it in an unusual spot?
Thanks!

Well i ended up buying a kit from a non-sponsor, so im not sure if i can post the name, but its overall 12.25x12x4.5 so im sure it will cool plenty for my setup.
Going to be positioning it infront of the front driver tire, so i guess ill post pics of the build seeings as how i cant find anyone running one like it!

So guys i managed to find a spot to try and fit it! Thoughts?
Also, im looking into options for tuning and data logging. The car is a 97, but i would easily do a obd1 swap as well.

Any updates on how this worked out? Were you able to run that cooler like you showed in the pic?

Yeah I did! Sorry ive been slow updating, been working on a lot of projects around the house.
I managed to make it fit, as well as do some interesting intake plumbing using the air intake hat that procharger sells, along with my MASSIVE cone air filter. I could have routed it under the charge pipe, but it would eat up about 4 inches of ground clearance, and as a DD im not down with that!

So far the only problems ive run into with my whole build are:
Using the 12 rib setup, the drivers side fan motor is square in line with the belt, but the passenger side still fits. Ive added 2 pushers on a switch infront of the rad/ heat exchanger, and will be putting a low profile spal puller in place of the stock one that does fit. (Could do 2 low pro spalls, but im a student here, budget is key!)
And actually, thats about it, aside from ordering a drain fitting for the supercharger that was massive and a really awkward size (anyone here happen to own a 23/32nd size drill bit? Me either)

You can still go with stock fans on a 12-rib setup. I did!
Actually, I didn't even move my fans at all. But Fastbird noted during his build that you can remove the bolts holding the fan motor to the frame, and use some spacers to shim the motor toward the front of the car, giving you the clearance you need.

I cant seem to get it to fit, any way i do it.
Im using an aftermarket bracket (not the one provided by procharger) so im not sure if the belt path would be the same, but it is square over the fan motor, and not just by a bit either.
Edit: Should mention, The heat exchanger for the a2w intercooler is placed infront of the rad, so it pushes the fans back about an inch. This is what is eating up most of my clearance.
