eng fuse box wire harness

hi i have a 97 camaro i got a good deal on but it wont start,and the instrument cluster does not light up the only thing that comes on with the key in the crank position is the fuel pump. i noticed the fuse box in the engine bay was all hacked up wires cut/missing. so instead of trying to trace every wire i think it would be a better idea to start off with a good used harness. would any 94-97 harness work.

does anyone have a good write up of the wires i dont need, or that i could eliminate. i have no abs or ac in the car so theres no point to of putting them back on.

ok got a different harness now and the car still wont start. none of the gauges come on with the key the only thing that happens when i put the key to start is the fuel pump comes on. what could cause the gauge cluster to not come on.
