fuel injector question

doing my intake manifold gaskets and wanted to know if i should bother to clean the injectors while they are off the car? they have some gunk around them but i'm not sure what i should use? carb cleaner? gas? what is best? can i make it worse if i spray em???

i don't really need new ones.. sure they are 15+ years old but only have 35k on them...

Your best bet is to have them professionally cleaned by a local shop. It's relatively cheap. There are also ways to clean them yourself, but I've always just taken mine to a local shop.
