Well... the noise i have is 2 things. one is a rod bearing starting to go, the other is my oil pump. My Oil Pressure has been all over the place and is now barley there. I will be droping the motor out the bottom this month. THe car is already on my lift and I have a bunch of things i was planning on doing before this happened. I already had my ABS delete and LS1 front brake upgrade, so i can do this all at the same time. I am going to fix the leak in the trans and rear and detail the hell out of the undercarriage and engine bay. The kicker of all this is I am broke. I may be out of a job soon and I have like 1000 bucks in the bank. LOL. Good thing is one of my good friends is giving me a motor. I cant express how cool of him this is. I will be transplanting his remaned forged internals 355 ltx with ported stock heads and a LPE cam into the car. It ran when he pulled it out of his 95 last year and sold the shell of the car. I will be taking pictures and starting a blog of the transplant on my fquick. I am not going LSx , even though it is tempting. This just seems more cost effective and fun (?)..

thanks, so far it has only cost me one God Of Fire cigar for my buddy that helped me drop it out today. It took about 4 hours start to finish. I was cautious and didnt break anything!! a miracle I know!
now the fun begins...

For a car with only 60 k miles it is petty bad. Car never goes anywhere and has a lot of leaks. I will have it better than new when I am done. Yes I have some great fbody friends in my area. I will be helping him put his drivetrain in his 91 z soon.

Yeah, he's a great guy. He founded our fbody club here in DE. I will be paying him back after my job situation gets better. He was not going to use this motor and it does need a few new gaskets. He just wants me to get my car running while I have time.

yeah, it does sit alot. I bought it in 2000 and she only had 39K miles. I have a few old cars and I try to drive them as much as I can. Letting them sit is the worse thing you can do unless you drain it and put it in a museum.

well i got the 355 and it needs work. It is decent, but I want to go through it before installing it in my car. I pulled my motor apart and found al the rod bearings look fine. THe windage tray was cracked at the oil pump bolt. Weird cause the motor has never be apart. I may for now just put the heads and cam on my 350 if i find the noise. I am leaning toward a bad lifter. I will find out when I pull them out soon.

well i decided to just rebuild my 350. I just installed all new rod and main bearings, water pump drive and the LPE cam. I am going to use the massaged heads off the 355 and gasket match my intake. I have to install new springs on the heads. I have the old MSD opti ready for the Delteq conversion. I got some cleanup done uner the hood and I am gonna clean up the Kmember soon. I just want to get rolling again. I need to send out for a chip for the cam. Hope to be running by middle of next month
