engine harness question

i have a 95 m6 firebird with a hacked to hail and back engine harness. my question is can i use a different year model engine harness for a lt1 m6 car?? (excluding the 93 model)

also i have read about the tail light harness swap does the tail light harness just un plug and then you plug in the ls1 harness? also does the harness have to come from a ls1 car or can it come from like a v6 98-02 body??

Hopefully someone else can anser your question about the differences between the harnesses. I would think your possibilities are 94-95. You will need to make sure you are getting a M6 harness as opposed to an auto. The tranny wires are in with the engine harness.
