Stock LT1 vs stock LS1. A friend just did a cam swap the weekend prior to.

And the end result!!! Can't wait to get it in for a tune this week!!! Couldn't do it without the help of a couple friends!!! Btw that's through my pacesetter LTs to the Borla. The cutout was just stupid loud!

Thanks for the nice words guys. I've been wanting to install a nice cam for 2 years now. And I've been saving since last summer haha. Yeah I have to get a video of the cutout next with my camcorder, with that cutout open it's just so frickin deep and ballsy lol. It's at the shop right now cause I have some bad wiring to my starter. Talk about a downer, just got this installed and my car gets problems haha, ah it's getting fixed so it's all good.

Well I would talk to Brett Bauer. He use to work with Lloyd Elliot on Heads and cam packages (LE1, LE2, LE3 etc...). I just did the cam cause that's all I could afford, so I went straight to Bret. I figure maybe next year I can send the heads over to Lloyd.

But yeah it's a custom grind and everything damn near bankrupted me haha.

pac-1218 springs
titanium 10 deg retainers
locks
seats
studs
pro mag 1.6 rockers
Canton Racing Valve covers ( or modify your stockers).
chromoly pushrods
comp cams high energy lifters
GM heavy duty timing chain
fluids and grease
of course the cam itself

and you have to factor in all the gaskets you'll need to replace and not too mention hardware and some tools. I've come to realize nothing ever goes perfect, so be sure to have some extra bucks for just in case.

But that's all I did man. I'm not trying to persaude anyone to use Bret over someone else, just really happy with his work and the out come. Talk to Bret, tell him exactly what you want out of your car, and he'll create something to your liking.

And in case anyone is interested.

car sounds awesome. Probably a dumb question, but does Bret have a website? if not how did you get in contact with him for a cam? thanks

He does but it's really weird because it just shows ported throttle bodies. You honestly wouldn't even know he's an engine builder. I just ended up doing a bit of detective work and asking people the best way to contact him.

Here's his site....

Email
bret@bauer-racing.com

He doesn't list a phone number but I have to say, anyone that is serious about buying a cam through him he'll contact within the day you email him.
