So next door to the garage I hang at, (KNOPPS SERVICE AND PERFORMANCE) is another shop called DENNY's CORVETTE RESTORATION, (LEADFOOD "works" there).
Well I have seen this swap that has been sitting in the corner of their shop for a few months (not sure how long it was sitting at their old shop) but I thought maybe my LTX family would be interested in seeing a cool LTX swap......
If I am correct this is a 1937 Ford Truck, with a 1935 grill insert.... hidden under the hood is an LTX... (unsure whether LT1 or LT4, but it has Corvette FRCs...)
Just a couple pics I snapped with my phone, maybe LEADFOOT can answer any questions....

Those valve covers are from an L98 corvette 87-91 will have to use a low mount alternator
to avoid cutting those.......
Awesome project fat fenders are cool.....

Will those valve covers go on an LT1?

Sure will but the alternator either needs to be relocated or the passenger valve cover needs to be
notched to clear the alternator. The center bolt pattern are the same and the older L98 corvette covers
are magnesium.

Cool..... it looks awesome, wish it were cleaned up. Hopefully Cody (LEADFOOT) posts up soon and fills everyone in with more details. I was just sooooo excited to see an opti under there.....
The only other thing I know about the truck is it will be a 6 speed, and it has a 9" in it....

ok guys, the truck has been in our shop for a long time. basically a battle of owner lacking interests, boss lacking interests and money have slowed this thing down. recently i have devised a plan to get this thing done and talked to the boss(my dad) about it today. im ready to put my foot down and go balls to the wall to finish it.
it is a '37 ford P/U. has a early lt1 with a 6 speed. fully custom frame, chopped 4 ", '35 grille, all new sheetmetal bed. smooth firewall....
ill will be taking many pictures as i undergo this project. unfortunatly as reputable of a shop we have we just have every now and again we get those jynx lingering projects that dont seem to get done. hopefully i can make this one happen.
thanks for posting this larry!!!! shows someone other than me actually care about it.
BTW those valve covers will be on my T/A. alt reloc or not lol.

92 LT1 corvettes come with those valve covers, with the alternator mounted on the driver's side
