How long does it take to install a set of pacesetter longtubes? Has anybody had any clearance problems with the pacesetters?

Start to finish I do them in roughly 5 hours. Best thing to do is set your tools out and have a spot to place old stuff and a seperate place for all the new. Spend the cash for the Lt1 D-port COPPER gaskets!
disconnect and removethese items:
battery
Air injection hoses
alternator
braces
EGR tube
Dipstick
Steering shaft
Temp.gauge. sender(drivers side head)
Manifolds
Y-pipe
Starter
Now is a great time to clean everything under the car/motor
If you have NEW COATED headers take some alcohol and pour some down each primary tube
then light them on fire, this will remove a bunch of the coating that will come off when you drive the car
reasons- to help get rid of most of the burned coating smell and to lessen the chance of burning up your o2s..
don't waste time or money installing new o2s yet.......
Time to reassemble everything do the starter and steering shaft last....
I always have access to a lift so my time could be alot shorter than most. My record is 1 Lt car and
1 Ls car in 10 hours I am too old to try and break my own record it just isn't important.lol
