I know I'm beating a dead horse here but I'm at a little bit of a loss. From what I've found when you delete the AIR system a code shouldn't be thrown in a 94 car as long as the relay/fuse is in good working order. Well, they're in good working order and in the car. I'm still getting a code and it's putting my car in "limpin" mode where it's draining my fuel tank in my engine. I have a nasty high RPM miss that's acting like a rev limiter at or around 4500rpms. Also, I have a code for my EGR since it's not on either. What's the cheapest way to get this issue corrected? Piggy back style tune, full on dyno tune or what? I'm sick of what it's doing and need to get it corrected. Any info would be great. Thanks for reading about my dead horse lol.

thats weird man. when i had my 94 i deleted everything off of it and never had one problem. are you sure that your problem? i mean i even had full boltons and 503 comp cam, with no tune (i know its stupid but it worked).

There's a fuel tank in the engine??!?!? Lol
Just giving you crap man. You can't delete air/egr and expect to not get a code. Air/EGR must be tuned out. Mail-order tune will take care of it.

AIR on OBDI cars will NOT set an SES light as long as there is a good fuse in the system. 96+ OBDII cars may or may not set the light only because when the PCM commands the AIR pump on, it seeks a change in A/F ratio via the front O2 sensors indicating that the pump is working. If it does not see this change, the SES will set.
Have you scanned the PCM for codes? Just because the light is on doesn't mean it's your AIR pump - it could be something else. That's why it's there, to tell you specifically what the issue is, not to just annoy you. :)
What do you mean "draining your fuel tank into your engine?" Excessive fuel consumption?
No single SES code will put the car in "limp home mode." That's a VERY rare condition in which the PCM loses almost ALL critical data and runs solely in an open-loop table-driven mode.
Also, the lack of AIR and EGR will NOT cause a high RPM misfire (unless you left the EGR wide open and didn't block it off), so start looking elsewhere. A tune won't help you if you still have a miss. I'd start with checking fuel pressure first, then move onto ignition. Plugs, burning wires, optispark health, etc. Look under the hood at night and look for any arcing wires or spark leaping.

according to my solus pro those are the two codes. I'm only a half noob lol. i had an o2 sensor issue and found wires fuged up so I had a muffler fellow install a new bung and o2 and that worked (new o2 wouldnt go back into the original bung?). the thing i left out is my egr valve is on just not allowed to move. along with my egr tube being block and welded. this is my first chevy issue and hard to explain. the valve is there but no tube no movement. also my other lt1 car had the air delete and did the same thing. if i run a speed for a constant i have no throttle response just a miss. if i drop a gear and force the engine to raise the rpm (hope that makes since) it'll do pretty good. the biggest issue currently is snow so i can't feel if i'm gaining power or just spinning because of slick conditions. i'll run a engine data and drop the values here.
and the fuel thing is like if you unplug the ecm's ect sensor and it adds all the fuel it can and turns on the fan. same thing...

What are the specific number codes?

cades are
27 EGR elec fault (QDM)
29 secondary AIR cuircut fault
open and closed loop are erratic while driving
injecter pw is 3.7 at idle
IAC is 42 @ idle
MAP is 31kPa @idle
Knock ret. is 0
Spark adv. is 20 at idle up to 40ish with throttle
EGR is at 0 as expected
Idle requested is 800 but is high 800's low 900's

I stand corrected. I'm an OBDII guy :shiner:

Have you tried resetting the PCM to see if the AIR code comes back?

I feel like a retard. My fuse and my relay was out however I do not recall EVER taking them out. Replaced them and my AIR code went away. Plugged the EGR plug in thinking in reason and blocked off all vacuum lines and that code went away. Car runs much better now and is no longer throwing a code. I feel like a DB for even bringing up these codes but that's okay. I still have a higher RPM miss and a low rpm miss on WOT. Like I said earlier if I'm crusing along in a high gear running around 1500 or so rpm and give it more than about 25% throttle it falls on it's face. I replaced the opti about 6 mos ago along with wires, coil and ICM. I know I have some exhaust issues with leaks and such but I'm not understanding why it's falling on its face at a cruise to hard throttle or at 4500 rpms? It honestly acts like I am hitting a rev limiter? Whats my next plan of attack? OPTI again? Wires maybe? My plugs are around a year old and have around 10k miles on them and plenty of them as hard as I could give them. Thanks once again and I do appologise about my ignorance.

ummm, why do you not have atune with bolt ons and a cam???

Start by checking misfire data on the solus it should give you an indication which cylinder is missing. Also take it out and have a buddy monitor the scan tool while you are driving under the conditions in which it "falls on its face".
